Trafford Youth
cabinet

The Trafford Youth Cabinet (TYC) is a group of passionate young people aged 11–18 who work to influence policies, decisions, and services that affect their lives and communities. Through their involvement, members ensure that the voices of young people in Trafford are heard across Trafford— including the UK Youth Parliament, Greater Manchester Youth Combined Authority  (GMYCA) meetings, and services, and delivering local conferences covering Primary, Secondary, and SEND provision.

We are currently recruiting new members and would be grateful if you could help us spread the word to any young people you work with who might be interested.

Why should young people join?

• Develop new skills and qualities for their future

• Enhance their CV and career prospects

• Have their say on issues that matter to them

• Make new friends and expand their network

• Influence their own and others' futures

Membership is open to all young people aged 11–18 who live, work, or study in Trafford. No prior experience is needed — just passion and commitment. The group meets every Wednesday, 5pm–7pm.

As a partner, we would love for you to share this opportunity through your newsletters, noticeboards, social media channels, or by speaking directly to young people in your setting. Every referral makes a difference.

To sign up or find out more, young people (or their parents/carers) can email: nathan@gorsehillstudios.co.uk

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like further information, printed materials, or if you'd like a member of the TYC team to come and talk to your young people directly.
