ABOUT US

Gorse Hill Studios is a youth arts charity based in North Trafford, delivering free or low-cost creative and youth services to over 200 young people (ages 8-25) each week. We work from our dedicated arts centre and through outreach, partnering with local authorities, schools, and youth organisations.

Our work combines arts, music, and youth support, with particular expertise in engaging young people with additional needs or those excluded from mainstream education. We use creativity to address complex issues like mental health, exclusion, knife crime and abuse, helping young people build resilience and unlock their potential. â€‹

Since 2015, we've grown into a trusted part of the local voluntary sector, driven by a team of qualified youth workers, artists, and passionate volunteers. Gorse Hill Studios is committed to being: a provider of alternative education and creative qualifications, a launchpad for careers in the creative industries, a specialist in inclusive support for young people with learning disabilities, a hub for youth-led social action, an accessible creative space for the local community, and a valued delivery partner in community arts projects.

Mission

We work with young people through creative engagement encouraging them to value themselves by taking an active role in their learning and education. We support them with building achievable aspirational pathways for their futures.

Vision

Gorse Hill Studios (GHSCC) is an ambitious and creative youth arts charity, who believe that all young people must have; social, emotional, and educational investment in their future.

Our Values

We promote young people choosing to take part and utilising their view of the world. We treat young people with respect. We seek to develop young people’s skills and attitudes rather than remedy ‘problem behaviours’. We believe in helping young people develop stronger relationships and collective identities. We advocate for respecting and valuing differences and promoting the voice of young people.
