Service Description
This is a family friendly show for ages 8 years and above at Gorse Hill Studios by Proud and Loud. This performance is all about the journey of a girl who doesn’t feel seen and often escapes and hides in the shadows. She adventures into the world for discovery and learns to understand the power of her shadow and steps into the light. It is a show for families and young people however it has a powerful message about being recognised in the world. The show’s creator, Chrissy Jones, has been playing with her experience of feeling invisible, knowing that you can be seen but not given your full social recognition. Through her live art explorations with light and shadow at Manchester Art Gallery, Tate Liverpool, and on the streets of Manchester she now wants to take her adventure with shadows to more people. Chrissy is a neurodivergent artist and has created this work through exploration of her own life experience. We expect the runtime to be around 45 minutes with the option of having a 15-minute post-show Q&A with the shows creator.
