Service Description
Join our free Summer Culture Club Cooking Sessions for 12-16-year-olds eligible for free school meals! 29th July - 27th August. When- Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am-12:30pm. Where- Gorse Hill Studios. One week break 11th-17th August with no sessions. Please note that booking cooking sessions does not book you on for the creative afternoon sessions. We provide all the necessary ingredients for the recipes, allowing you to enjoy the process of creating delicious treats and savouring the meals you prepare during the sessions! Young people who attend will be able to: -Learn how to cook and prepare tasty nutritious meals in our kitchen alongside youth workers and other young people. -Gain new life skills for more independence at home. -Enjoy their meals afterwards and socialise with friends. -Gain understanding of kitchen health and safety as well as hygiene. -Cook for the younger attendees of Culture Club, this can be put on their CV's or be used as volunteer hours for Duke of Edinburgh. Please make sure to indicate on the booking form if your child qualifies for free school meals, along with their school’s name. People with different abilities are welcome, we are disability inclusive in our sessions and able to support most access needs but not personal care needs, please detail any Special Educational Needs or Disabilities in the booking form.
